Broadcast Professionals are Human Too
An anchor for Fox News committed a little grammar faux pas when reporting about Jose Offerman’s recent tantrum. As the anchor tells it, Offerman attacked the pitcher with his bat after, “he was struck by a pitch in a minor league game in his leg.”
I’ll assume that, while his modifier was dangling, the anchor did not mean to infer that the minor league game actually took place in Offerman’s leg.
